Not only a hugely talented actor, who was brilliant in spooks (I could not watch it after he left) but he has this certain something about him that makes him incredibly appealing, especially as Mr. Darcy. It isn't only that his acting is so subtle, layered and sensitive, unfolding the Darcy passion by slow-burning degrees... there is something else. It's a kind of sweet, innocent melancholy about the eyes and a hint of bewilderment in the sullen lips... and a warm, dark voice made for bedtime stories. Sometimes he looks so big and stern, and sometimes so boyish and scared... a very sexy contrast. :) This man is a true star.
