Kathy and I have sent off our submission for Close Encounters, our jointly-written erotic science fiction romantic comedy. I LOVE that fricking book and am really sorry to have finished it. Keeping fingers crossed.
This afternoon I’ll send off the first four chapters of mainstream novel Connected to my agent. I’m pleased with it, thanks to Kathy (again), Anna, Elaine, and my writers’ group. Keeping fingers crossed there, too.
So I guess I have no excuse not to start writing the next M&B, Rush, now. Better start making the sountrack.

Good luck, Julie!
YAY!! Good luck!!
Fingers very firmly crossed, Julie.
Fingers crossed, Julie – and it sounds like fun!
BTW calling your new one Rush… reminds me of DH taking advantage of my gullibility. Told me Alex Lifeson had been arrested. I asked why (I know, I know, how stupid can I be?). Answer: ‘For playing interminable guitar solos.’ (I should add that *I* like Rush a lot. DH doesn’t.)
Kate H (who isn’t really anonymous but Blogger doesn’t like me today)
Best of luck to you!
LOL Kate! Husband likes Rush – I loathe them… ggg
Yeah, do you think I should propose a trilogy of books based on rock band titles? RUSH, YES, and TWISTED SISTER?
(Actually it’s called Rush because of the hero’s profession, the heroine’s way of driving, and their method of marrying and honeymooning.)
I don’t know any of these people. I’ve never heard of this music. I feel oooold!
PS Fingers crossed!
Actually Liz I am quite relieved that there are a few people out there who will see my title and NOT immediately think of Canadian rock bands.
