I’m in Maine now, up at the lake where it’s both hot and beautiful. My cousins are up visiting and we just had lobster, so everything is smelling faintly of seafood and we are waiting for my cousins to come back from their sunset canoe ride to have dessert. Ice cream. I am rather obsessed with ice cream right now.
I’ve got some good pictures of the conference and some good stories too, largely about other people because honestly I was very sedate and matronly the entire time (honestly), but I’ll have to post them tomorrow night after my cousins have gone home. Meanwhile, Michelle Willingham has some great photos and stories on her blog. Ignore the photo of me eating ice cream with both hands and focus on the picture of me in my purple dress IN WHICH I HAVE CLEAVAGE. I kid you not. Boobage abounding, man.
(Oh and Michelle has exciting news about her submission, too, and also I believe she almost died. Typically, I noticed my own boobs before I read about her very exciting and/or very scary experiences.)
I also hear that Donna Alward sold to Harlequin/Mills & Boon romance (YIPPEE!!!), so visit her, too.
Conference photos tomorrow. I swear. If I remembered to bring the cable to attach my camera to the computer, that is.

I’m blog surfing when I should be writing…
You know, I was at Michelle’s blog this morning admiring the pics and when I landed on the one of you in your purple dress my first thought was, “Wow. Pregnancy agrees with her.” You look voluptuous woman! Whoo hoo!
I never got bonus cleavage with any of my three children – only afterwards when the nursing began and I didn’t care a bit about cleavage. Oh, well…enjoy it! You look fab!
You looked absolutely wonderful Julie. The dress was fantastic. One question – was that a two adult person ice cream sundae? Or a one and a half person? Have a lovely time in Maine-you deserve the holiday!
Take care, Ray-Anne
I noticed, Julie! I also noticed how gorgeous the dress was, and how great you looked in it. I gave you a little cheer.
Actually FOUR of us shared that ice cream sundae, but they only took pictures of me eating it. Blatant unfairness. But I’ll live with it, especially as I’ve got the boobage.
Thank you, Karen, Ray-Anne, and Anna.
