When I wasn't getting enough sleep I needed to drink six litres of water a day to produce enough milk. I ate like a horse, drank like a fish and rented a milking machine so that DH could do the night feeds with my milk And now the boys are fine strapping lads of almost four and three. I breastfed them until they were five months old, because I wasn't into torturing myself once they started teething! (and I got pregnant again when Patrick was five months old! - something I would not necessarily recommend - very tiring!)
