The new breast pump is a GIFT FROM THE GODS. It is quiet, effective, and comfortable.
I won’t be chucking this one down the stairs.
The Milkmaid tea is also delicious.
And Fecklet loved the baby rice. He devoured it as if he’d been waiting his entire life, grabbing the spoon and kicking and making happy noises and eating every little bit that happened to make it to his mouth. Little chowhound.
I’m going to bed happy. Oh, and Happy birthday, Mom!

I could never do the hand pumps. Electric is the way to go! And isn’t that wonderful that he loved the rice. Later, when he moves onto fruit, you can mix applesauce or strained peaches with the rice and babies LOVE it. I always made the rice cereal using breast milk, so they got the added benefits.
I liked the rice myself. Made with breast milk it is quite sweet. Yum.
Oh my God I don’t believe I’m talking about this.
Hooray for you! Hooray for the electric breast pump.
Baby rice is great. And you have done wonderfully well to get the fecklet up to the size he is.
Good news on everything! Sounds like the Fecklet was just ready for a little bit of solids – and with the new wonder pump you’ll feel more relaxed too.
And HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Julie’s real Mom – I never realised that our birthdays were so close together.
Hooray on breast pumps and rice cereal! I used to sneak some into the girls at night and they slept a lot better. If you’ve nursed this long with no solids, you’ve done great.
I have to say though I was a hand pumper. Otherwise I felt like a cow hooked up to a milk machine. LOL.
Yay! Glad it’s all working out

Yay!! I’m so glad things are better in the pumping department. That’s wonderful.
Yeah!! Success!! Love hearing how Frecklet is thriving. Good job.
Happy B’day Julie’s mom.
Julie – I’m so glad
Sounds great! Good that you’ve got it sorted!
