It’s a rainy day.
I heard back from my editor, who’s going to send me revisions for One Night Stand, hopefully next week. I’ll get them just before I go back to work, three days a week, at school.
Which means, essentially, that next week and the week after are going to be madly busy. I’m trying to prepare for this by doing nothing today but lazing around. It’s difficult for me to laze around, though; I’m not used to it. Also, baby doesn’t always want me to laze around (though he has discovered CBeebies and therefore I get a whole twenty minutes to myself every now and then).
However right now he’s taking a nap so I’m going to go sit on the bed with a cup of Milkmaid tea and my current book, which is the very cheerful In Cold Blood by Truman Capote.
And listen to the rain.
Definitely lazing around is the way to do… think of it as giving the batteries a good charge.
