I just had an email from the lovely Julie from Single Titles to say my review for One Night Stand is up.
Sassy, sexy, and very, very, funny, One Night Stand is a fabulous romantic comedy by a sparkling new voice in the genre! Julie Cohen has written a terrific tale of friendship, romance and new beginnings that will tug at your heartstrings and make you laugh out loud.
Charming, romantic and wonderfully feel-good, fans of Sophie Kinsella and Jill Mansell will not want to miss reading One Night Stand!
You can read the rest of the review here.
I can tell you, I really needed a good review today because the crows are battering my head with dismal wings as I type. So thank you, Julie.

Take a gun to those Crows – and as you said we could – I’ll remind you of your post on February 18th
Though, as we both know that the Crows do not listen to rational argument or need any justification to appear I’ll send over some mega-hugs as well.
love
Kate – swatting crows left right and centre too. Like I said – they just don’t heed rational argument
I know, Kate, it was only over a week ago that I posted that. And to be fair, I’ve just read over the ms and I do still love it. It’s that I haven’t the energy or imagination to make the next bit as good as it should be.
But it will come.
I also had some great news today about my books being placed in a major supermarket so really things should be looking up. Oh, and a National Insurance bill. Hmmm.
*hands Kate a giant industrial-size crow-swatter* Here, try mine.
Shall I be mean andsay that I am pleased the Crows are attacking?
You ALWAYS ALWAYS reach this point in your ms, and it probably means the creative tension is there.
I would worry more if theCrows took a holiday.
And ONS deserves to have good reviews.
I can’t wait to read it now. I think it’s on the 3rd shelf of books tbr now. Slowly rising to the top.
Congratulations on the great review, Julie — I agree with the reviewer’s comments.
Sending you a scarecrow!
Yes, I always reach the crow point, Michelle, and I am climbing out of it now, but while it’s going on it is depressing.
Julie, let me know what you think when you get to it!
Thanks Jess, for the agreement and for the scarecrow!
