Today’s a very exciting day to be an American and I’m planning on being in front of my television to see it happening.
I’ll have to speed home to see the inauguration, though, as I’m being interviewed on BBC Radio Berkshire from 3-4 pm today, talking about becoming a writer and some of my favourite music. You can listen online if you’re so inclined (link on bottom right of BBC page).
Hopefully the Beeb will have a telly or two around so that I don’t miss anything going on in Washington while I’m at the studio.

Have a fab time at the radio station and enjoy the inauguration.
Have a very happy day, Julie.
Good luck with the interview. Yes, today is a day to mark in history and I hope that he can live up to the expectations that Americans have of him. He has a lot to live up to.
Julie, you are now linked on my website.
Good luck with the radio interview, and I’m not surprised you’re excited about the inauguration. It’s an exciting time for everyone!
Good luck with the interview. I think we all see today as a very historic day.
It’s a wonderful day.
Hi Julie. Nice to pop in have a fix of your blog, it always makes me giggle.
I have the speech recorded to watch tonight and I’m really looking forward to it.
I will freely admit that I cried as soon as I saw Obama walking down the hallway towards the platform. The people around him were talking, looking around, greeting people; he was utterly still, focused, reverent, fully living the moment. I could almost see the words “I am about to become President” going through his head.
Cue tissues.
Thanks all for the good-luck wishes; the interview was fun.
Julie, thank you for linking to me, that’s very kind of you.
