Thanks for the support and advice, everyone. I think I’ve solved my dilemma; at least I’ve come up with an idea that makes me laugh and want to write it, and I’ve written 1500 words of a new beginning, one which involves a crashing Land Rover, an explosion, and some swearing. So what’s not to like?
