Yes, the haberdashery dept has got smaller at the Cambridge JL as well, and my local fabric store has halved in size twice, not to mention the craft shop which closed down. I buy stuff online now as often as not. Depending on when you need it, you might try Googling? I have so many pictures of my childhood self in a leotard and stripy tights, black lipstick (or possibly it was bootblack) on my nose and drawn into whiskers, and an Alice band with felt ears. Oh and an elasticated belt with a fake-fur-and-stuffing-over-wire-for-shaped tail. Actually, I wore the tail with a catsuit and sized-up ears from Claire's Accessories a few years ago...
